We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust. As a key member of our Cardiac Investigations Department, you will be responsible for leading and managing the team, performing and reporting on complex cardiac investigations, and providing clinical supervision and training to junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the Cardiac Investigations Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
- Cardiac Investigations: Perform and report on a range of highly specialized cardiac investigations, including adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standard.
- Clinical Supervision and Training: Provide clinical supervision and training to junior staff, including trainee physiologists and medical staff.
- Research and Development: Participate in regular clinical audit and research and development activities to improve patient care and services.
- Qualifications: BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent, with working towards British Society of Echocardiography accreditation/Heart Rhythm Society accreditation.
- Abilities: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
