The Systems Deployment Engineer plays a crucial role in providing technical assistance in the creation and execution of client applications and corporate solutions.

This position involves conducting on-site installations, upgrades, maintenance, and support for both new and existing systems. The engineer will implement new product configurations and software enhancements, install network devices, and hardware components, while diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.

As part of the role, you will gain expertise in both company and third-party vendor products utilized in customer applications and systems.

The ideal candidate will be capable of performing both preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as proactively diagnosing issues that may impact customers (Tier 2).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integration and deployment of systems, including configuration for high availability and backups in both testing and live environments.
  • Support a diverse range of skills in implementing solutions at client locations.
  • Assist with testing activities as necessary.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on deployed solutions, providing occasional Tier 2 support.

Experience and Education:

  • Degree in software engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of implementation experience in controlled environments.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects, demonstrating the ability to manage complex project planning, execution, and operations.
  • Willingness to learn about new technologies such as Hardware Security Modules and Public Key Infrastructure.
  • Strong customer-facing skills and ability to acquire in-depth product knowledge.
  • Experience in setting up and administering servers, PCs, and networks, including routine maintenance and ensuring system security and efficiency.
  • Understanding of networking principles, including VLANs, IPv4, and subnetting, as well as familiarity with the TCP/IP stack and LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Experience with Windows domain services, including Domain Controllers, DNS, and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with Hyper-V and/or VMware solutions in high availability scenarios.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Failover Clustering.
  • Experience with backup technologies for SQL and virtualized environments.
  • Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, or Cisco are advantageous.
  • Experience with storage technologies (SAN, FC/iSCSI, RAID) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure platforms such as Azure or AWS is beneficial.
