We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our Resources Department. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our finance, revenue and benefits, digital services, and procurement functions.

As our new Executive Director, you will play a critical role in driving our vision and strategy forward, working closely with our Chief Officers, Executive Management Team, Leader of the Council, and Elected Members. You will be responsible for ensuring that our resources are aligned with our strategic objectives and that we are delivering the best possible services to our communities.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of managing stakeholder relationships, driving change and improvement, and providing empowering leadership. Your drive and positivity will be essential in keeping us on track to deliver against our strategic objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of local government finance, revenue, and benefits, as well as experience of leading and managing teams. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including councillors, officers, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Resources Department
  • Drive our vision and strategy forward, working closely with our executive team and stakeholders
  • Ensure that our resources are aligned with our strategic objectives
