Job Title: Exchequer Officer (Accounts Payable)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Exchequer Officer to join our team at Enfield Council. As an Exchequer Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating transaction activity relating to Creditors on behalf of all Council services. You will provide user support to Council departments on paying invoices and administer the Council's creditors function, which includes the payment of invoices to third-party vendors, individuals, and clients across the Council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate transaction activity relating to Creditors on behalf of all Council services.
  • Provide user support to Council departments on paying invoices.
  • Administer the Council's creditors function, including the payment of invoices to third-party vendors, individuals, and clients across the Council.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable functions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, including interpreting detailed and complex financial information.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and work to tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and experience.
