About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN English Teacher to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a SEN English Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of SEN pupils.
  • Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies to support students with challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student progress and well-being.
  • Use a range of teaching techniques, including PECS, to support students with complex needs.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies to ensure they meet the needs of SEN pupils.
Requirements
  • Experience of teaching SEN pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, SEMH, S&L, and complex medical needs.
  • Knowledge of SEN legislation and policies, including the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to support students with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.
