About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Ogilvie Group Limited. As a key member of our Contract Surveyors team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of our building projects in Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the day-to-day commercial and surveying activities of allocated projects, ensuring accurate cost planning and control.
  2. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure a thorough understanding of commercial matters and support successful project delivery.
  3. Develop and maintain project cost plans, working closely with the design team and operational colleagues throughout the pre-construction process.
  4. Procure subcontract work packages, issuing detailed tender reports in advance of subcontractor appointments.
  5. Measure and value works carried out on site, ensuring accurate financial reporting and control of expenditure.
  6. Identify and value variations, and control expenditure to maximize profit margins.
  7. Ensure adherence to sub-contracts and assist with sub-contractor payments.

Requirements:

  1. Hold an honours degree in Quantity Surveying.
  2. Have at least 5 years of construction experience in a Contracting Quantity Surveying role.
