Job Title: Production Engineer

Teledyne UK Limited is seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join their Production Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for aiding users with training, support, advice, and assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Align, test, verify, and perform final acceptance tests of products to predetermined specifications.
  • Fault-find, analyze, and diagnose non-working electronic devices down to component level and report root cause and failure mode following Teledyne company procedures.
  • Follow, maintain, and uphold all Company Operating Procedures, Quality Instructions, and associated policies.
  • Operate and maintain various types of electronic testing equipment, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, analogue and digital meters, and PCs.
  • Report and document technical problems to Production Management and Engineering.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to and implement continuous improvements in product design, processes, yield, and performance.
  • Follow company and manufacturing procedures to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Create production documentation and technical reports.
  • Contribute to regular Daily Stand-Up Meetings.
  • Provide production support and fault-finding.
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate own activities against objectives set by management.
  • Highlight and solve problems as they arise during the assembly and test stage.
  • Support 5S and other lean manufacturing initiatives both individually and as part of the team in line with the Teledyne Production System.
Requirements:
  • HNC in Electronic Engineering or equivalent OR a minimum of 2 years experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-883, IPC-A-610.
  • Experience of AutoCAD preferred.
  • Experience communicating with customers verbally and in written forms.
  • Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.
