About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager to join our team at SLG Brands. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for cultivating strong professional relationships with our retailer and brand partners, identifying and evaluating new business development opportunities, and driving sales and profit growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with retailers and brands to articulate the credentials of SLG Brands and the services and benefits in partnership with us.
- Manage retailers and brands to successfully guide them through the development process and ensure they are kept informed of all relevant development information.
- Sales Growth
- Accountable for driving sales growth to deliver annual brand/account sales targets through proactively seeking and driving new business opportunities.
- Understand market landscape, competitor activity, and retailer strategies to leverage existing and create new opportunities.
- Commercial Range Development
- Build robust commercial ranges for all bespoke developments through detailed analysis of sales performance, merchandising, and activation plans.
- Ensure full evaluation of effectiveness to drive change to future business considerations.
- Profit Maximization
- Responsible for maximizing profitability of individual product lines and collections overall through detailed and precise commercial control.
- Closely collaborate with internal project teams and negotiate with retailers to ensure both SLG Brands targets and retailer expected margins are achieved.
- Administrative and Management
- Responsible for the administrative and management of accounts, including the preparation and management of working line lists, pricing, and NLF management of product lines.
Requirements
- Significant experience within an Account Manager sales role with a proven track record of success in business development.
- Experience within the FMCG industry, with Health and Beauty industry experience desirable.
- Mathematically astute with a high standard of written and verbal English language.
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Competency Requirements
- Expertise in managing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers and internal teams to foster long-term partnerships.
- Proven track record of securing new business opportunities with a strategic approach to expanding SLG Brands' license and exclusive business.
- Consistently maintaining a professional demeanor, exhibiting optimism and enthusiasm that fosters a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced and changing environment, thriving in dynamic and high-intensity situations while maintaining focus on objectives.
- Effective analytical ability and commercial awareness to recognize and evaluate the potential and viability of new opportunities, utilizing data to inform decision-making processes.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Exemplary account management and customer servicing skills.
