Job Title: Children's Home Registered Manager

At Talent Fox Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Home Registered Manager to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people in our care, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This will involve:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing and Implementing Care Plans: Create and review individual care plans that cater to the unique needs of each young person, ensuring their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs are met.
  2. Allocating Key Workers: Assign a dedicated Key Worker to each young person, responsible for implementing their care plan and providing ongoing support.
  3. Maintaining High-Quality Standards: Establish and monitor high-quality standards of care, adhering to National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose, and developing quality assurance measures to continuously improve.
  4. Consulting with Young People: Develop innovative systems to consult with young people about the quality of care they receive, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
  5. Managing Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for progressing any complaints or child protection concerns, working closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
  6. Partnership Working: Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people, attending and contributing to child care planning and review meetings as necessary.
  7. Rota Management: Create rotas that cater to the needs of young people, ensuring proper handovers between shifts and maintaining a smooth operation.
  8. Training and Development: Receive training appropriate to the role, maintaining an up-to-date training profile and staying informed about the statutory and procedural framework for residential care.
  9. Staff Supervision and Development: Ensure new staff receive a proper induction, supervise staff in line with National Minimum Standards, and develop personal development plans through the Staff Appraisal Programme.
  10. Adherence to Company Policy: Ensure adherence to company policy in relation to probationary periods, promoting personal and professional development through the delegation of duties and responsibilities.
  11. Developing Routines: Develop routines in consultation with young people and staff, ensuring all aspects of child care are well-organized and effective.
  12. Home Maintenance: Clarify expectations for maintaining the Home in a clean and orderly condition, creating a welcoming environment that promotes growth and well-being.
  13. Financial Management: Manage budgets effectively, monitoring the use of finances and overseeing the use of company vehicles.
  14. Building Maintenance: Monitor the fabric of the building, taking remedial action where necessary to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for young people and staff.
