Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our commercial department, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to our residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collate and issue tender packs for subcontractor work packages
  • Negotiate and analyze subcontractor tender returns
  • Produce tender analysis for subcontract work packages
  • Complete subcontract orders and variations
  • Manage subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts
  • Complete monthly CVRs and cost reporting
  • Control project budgets and costs
  • Attend site project meetings
  • Lead project teams and prepare monthly HA valuations, cash flow forecasts, and key date trackers

Requirements

  • HNC in Surveying or Construction or equivalent
  • Experience working in the construction industry for a residential housing developer
  • Excellent IT, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong mathematical ability
  • Ability to assess and analyze information
  • Good business sense
  • Good understanding of budget management
  • Negotiating and networking skills
  • COINS user experience
  • Enthusiasm
  • Flexibility
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Good team working skills
  • Accurate with an eye for detail
  • Methodical approach

Desirable Qualifications

  • HND or higher qualification
  • Professional membership of MCIOB or RICS
  • National House builder experience
  • Different methods of construction (e.g. Timber Frame)
