Assistant Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team in Taunton. As a key member of our team, you will provide commercial input to the management team and help ensure that business targets and KPIs are exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide commercial support to the management team, ensuring that business targets and KPIs are met.
  • Prepare and review monthly cost/value reports for the area, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Produce commercial reports, reviewing results and considering trends with other contract team members.
  • Conduct physical measurements of works, agreeing with clients and subcontractors.
  • Agree certification and payment of subcontractor accounts, monitoring against forecasts.
  • Maximize cash flow, ensuring timely payments.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • CSCS card.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience in commercial support for design and consulting contracts, particularly under NEC 3/4 forms.
  • Experience in main contract management, supporting successful projects.
  • Experience in supply chain procurement, management, and accounting.
  • Experience in dispute resolution and avoidance.
  • Experience in commercial and financial budgeting and reporting.
  • Understanding of and commitment to an inclusive working environment.
  • UK driving license.
