We're seeking a talented UI Programmer (C++) who shares our passion for crafting exceptional user interfaces that bring our games to life. This is a full-time permanent position based out of our studio in Dundee, Scotland.

What We Do

The UI Team at Rockstar Dundee is a diverse, multinational group of programmers and developers who work together across time zones to produce cutting-edge UI features using our proprietary RAGE engine.

We develop our own UI tools, editors, and technologies to enable our UI developers to realize their creative vision and deliver seamless UI experiences that exceed player expectations.

Responsibilities

  1. As a UI programmer, you'll work across all areas of UI code development, delivering technology updates and game feature code.
  2. You'll collaborate with your lead to identify feature areas and tasks, providing time estimates and technical issue forecasting.
  3. You'll deliver high-quality, fully debugged, and performant code to agreed-upon time requirements, communicating regularly with your lead and other team members.
  4. You'll review and provide feedback on other programmers' code to ensure it meets our quality standards.

Qualifications

  1. A degree in software engineering, mathematics, or computer science.

Skills

  1. Strong C++ and low-level, high-performance coding.
  2. Comfortable with a wide range of code design patterns, including Object-Oriented Programming.
  3. Experience with XML, XAML, JSON, and other common file formats.
  4. Familiarity with day-to-day game development tools, including bug tracking software, communication tools, and version control software.

Plus

  1. 1+ published AAA console title.
  2. Experience with C# and tools programming.
