About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Rightmove. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing complex tech-focused projects through their full lifecycle, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and effective delivery across all involved stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex projects, ensuring scope is managed effectively and projects stay focused on agreed goals and outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain effective governance and project reporting for initiatives that require more structured oversight, without disrupting Agile practices.
  • Ensure appropriate ways of working are in place in relation to the delivery lifecycle and that roles and responsibilities are agreed and understood by the team.
  • Create and maintain project plans, ensuring that dependencies between teams are well understood.
  • Ensure appropriate quality assurance processes are in place that are in line with the risk level of the initiative.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and take responsibility for project communications.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and blockers and ensure risk mitigation activities are undertaken.
  • Agree and co-ordinate business change activity to ensure that affected stakeholders aren't adversely affected by any changes to their roles or processes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lead retrospectives to identify actionable improvements to our ways of working.
  • Play a role in managing your project teams, helping resolve conflicts, motivating staff and keeping an eye on team well-being.
  • Where required, track project costs and facilitate procurement activity.
Requirements
  • Repeated experience of managing complex tech-focused projects through their full lifecycle.
  • Experience of both agile software development methodologies and more traditional project management practices.
  • Enough technical knowledge to be able to work effectively with engineers, architects and infrastructure teams and do things like facilitate the creation of a test strategy.
  • Experience of leading business change activity.
  • Past experience of hands-on roles within tech teams such as developer, QA, business analyst, etc.
  • Experience of using Jira.
