About the Role
As an Area Manager at ENGINEERINGUK, you will be responsible for leading a large and diverse team to ensure the smooth operation of our business. You will work closely with your colleagues to address challenges and implement corrective actions to maintain high levels of quality and productivity. Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site, while also monitoring and maintaining process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing, and support and lead a team to achieve business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Analyse and implement corrective actions to improve quality and productivity, and suggest process improvements to optimise work and improve customer service.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes and work with colleagues in other teams and external partners to meet customer demands and targets.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities, conducting and driving Dive Deep analysis on complex processes.
- Adaptability: Be willing and able to work to flexible schedules and shifts, and commit the time required to get the job done.
About the Team
As part of the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team, you will be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you will help Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions, and we put safety first as our people are our priority.
Requirements
- You hold a degree in logistics, business administration, or in a related field, or you have an equivalent qualification.
- A strong team player, you thrive when working with others.
- You have previous experience as a manager, involving sizable teams; you're a natural at motivating others around you.
- You demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities: conducting and driving Dive Deep analysis on complex processes isn't a problem for you.
- You're a quick thinker, able to act decisively in a fast-paced environment.
- You're willing and able to work to flexible schedules and shifts: you always commit the time required to get the job done.
