Risk Framework Manager

Are you a driven professional with experience in Risk Management within the Financial Services or Insurance sector? Somerset Bridge Group is seeking a Risk Framework Manager to join our team and contribute to building a sustainable and innovative business focused on underwriting, broking, and claims handling of UK motor insurance.

  • Implement, Embed, and Maintain: You will be responsible for implementing, embedding, and maintaining the risk management framework through various activities such as designing and delivering minimum standards and guidance, providing industry expertise on framework design and development, and ensuring ongoing maintenance of framework documents and processes.
  • Business Partnering and Insight: Provide advice, guidance, and interpretation of risk management requirements to the business. Collaborate with the Group Risk team to identify data and insights that support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the framework based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster a collaborative environment by proactively discussing and managing key priorities with the team. Effectively communicate complex risk management concepts to stakeholders through clear and concise written and verbal presentations.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience in Financial Services or Insurance is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk oversight, framework design, delivery, implementation, and 1st line risk business partnering.
  • Possession of a recognized risk management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to create detailed analysis for stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in creating and maintaining well-documented records and adhering to governance/version control procedures.
  • Confidence in presenting to and consulting with senior stakeholders.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and driving positive change within the organization.
