- Address violations of Building Regulations and, if necessary, initiate legal proceedings.
- Respond to public inquiries and provide guidance to assist in achieving compliance with construction methodologies.
- Act promptly on reports of hazardous structures, coordinating with emergency services to ensure public safety.
- Engage with statutory authorities and governmental bodies as required.
- Review complex calculations related to structural, thermal, and acoustic aspects of various building types.
- Ensure that all Building Control inquiries are handled efficiently and courteously.
- Proven experience as a Building Surveyor.
- Expertise in conducting plan checks and site inspections, including authorizations and project completions.
- Ability to identify registration classes relevant to the role.
- Experience in contract management.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
- Membership in a relevant professional organization.
- Additional training and experience in related fields.
- Corporate membership in a recognized body.
- Familiarity with BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Proficient in IT applications, including CAFM systems, maintenance work ordering, and Microsoft Office Suite.
