Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Radiographer to join our Breast Imaging team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for undertaking mammography examinations in both the screening and symptomatic breast referral services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake mammography examinations in accordance with National Health Service Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) and Quality Management System (QMS) Operating Procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing professional development to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
  • Support the management of the service as directed by the Clinical Superintendent Mammographer.

Person Specification
  • Diploma of the College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) Radiography.
  • Current HPC Registration.
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Qualified Radiographer.
  • Ability to work independently and write concise and accurate clinical reports.
  • Evidence of current CPD to Health Professional Council (HPC) standard.
