GSL Education is seeking dedicated and experienced Support Professionals to work with children who require additional support in a nurturing and structured environment.
As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing individualized care and guidance to these young individuals. Your responsibilities will encompass implementing behavior interventions, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and fostering their personal growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering personalized behavior support strategies to children with challenging behaviors, SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health), and Autism.
- Creating a safe and supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable and encouraged to thrive.
- Collaborating effectively with other professionals involved in the children's care to ensure a holistic approach.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the children's progress and interventions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience working with children who exhibit challenging behaviors, SEMH, and Autism in educational or alternative care settings.
- A compassionate and patient approach with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of these young individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of best practices in supporting children with complex needs.
Qualifications
- Clear Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce/ Child and Adult Workforce) registered to the Update Service.
- Availability for full-time work during term time.
