Job Title: Financial Operations Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at Ponderosa Management LLC. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Management Accountant and Financial Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the production of management accounts, reports, and other financial information for a single Local Business Unit (LBU).
- Assist in the improvement of processes and procedures to ensure the highest quality of timely and accurate management information.
- Ensure the completion of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all balances held can be justified and support the delivery of the period-end close process.
- Support the Management Accountant and Financial Controller in communicating financial performance to operational management teams and in the identification of risks and opportunities to deliver improved financial results.
- Support the production of management accounts, weekly cost and revenue reports, and other financial information as required.
- Support the analysis of the management accounts and variances to budget/forecast and prior year.
- Assist with the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for each period.
- Maintain spreadsheet models in line with standardized processes and local terms.
- Support Management and Financial Accountants in maintaining the accuracy of financial and non-financial records.
- Cover core tasks for management accountant and/or financial account during periods of leave.
Requirements:
- Computer literate – good Excel skills. Power BI and SAP experience preferred but not essential.
- CIMA, ACCA, or ACA studier, AAT qualified.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
