Reports to: Executive Housekeeper

Salary: £35,160

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Floor Supervisor to join our team at The Savoy, a Fairmont Managed Hotel. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and service excellence throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Coordinate Housekeeping Operations: Oversee the daily activities of the Housekeeping team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards and that the hotel's cleanliness and service standards are consistently met.
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong work ethic and lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork within the Housekeeping department.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to Housekeeping team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional service.
  • Monitor and Improve Processes: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Housekeeping department.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other hotel departments, such as Front Office and Food and Beverage, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
  • Maintain High Standards: Ensure that all public areas and guest rooms are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the management of Housekeeping inventory and supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are available to maintain the hotel's high standards.
  • Report and Analyze Data: Provide regular reports and analysis to the Executive Housekeeper on Housekeeping performance, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in a luxury hospitality environment
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
