Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to and enforcement of all quality, environmental, safety, and health regulations and protocols.
  • Design and implement safety initiatives tailored to the unique requirements of the organization.
  • Conduct thorough risk evaluations.
  • Guarantee compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication regarding all health and safety matters.
  • Monitor and assess health and safety risks and hazards within the workplace.
  • Generate and maintain quality documentation in accordance with current legislation.
  • Investigate, analyze, and document all incidents related to quality, environmental, safety, and health.
  • Serve as the coordinator for safety training.
  • Perform inspections, prepare safety reports, and conduct risk assessments.
  • Engage in internal reporting and auditing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality assurance requirements, including the generation and maintenance of QA documentation.
  • Oversee that all staff receive the necessary health and safety training pertinent to their roles.
  • Conduct internal audits and reviews of the Quality Management System.
  • Collaborate with insurance providers regarding any incidents or concerns.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

  • NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within the Engineering or Construction sector.
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance practices in the construction industry.
  • Solid understanding of safe construction methodologies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience with auditing and operating ISO 9001/14001/18001 accreditation systems.
  • Valid UK Driving License.
