Job Summary:
Vickerstock is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Management: Develop and implement effective health and safety policies, procedures, and programs to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
- Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs to employees on health and safety procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate and report on incidents, near misses, and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Health and Safety Audits: Conduct regular health and safety audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate health and safety information to employees, management, and stakeholders, and collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Relevant NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with excellent IT skills (MS Office).
Desirable: Previous experience within the manufacturing industry, internal auditor certifications, and management experience.
