About the Role

This is a 6-month contracted opportunity to work on one of our flagship retail sites in Central London as a Mechanical Supervisor. The role will be responsible for leading a team of 8 mechanical engineers on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure minor projects and small works are running smoothly, in line with installation and specification requirements, while maintaining compliance with specification and contract documentation.
  • Lead and coordinate directly employed teams and sub-contractors to ensure the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Engage with the Client's representative to ensure there are no outstanding issues and to maintain the overall quality of service delivery.
  • Participate in Health & Safety Codes of Safe Working and other Environmental issues to ensure total compliance with Dalkia UK's Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
  • Report any omissions or risks that might compromise a Safe Working Environment.
  • Report on the performance of any sub-contracted works.
  • Make recommendations to the Contract Manager on matters concerning continuous improvement and 'adding value' that may improve productivity, costs, quality of service delivery, etc.
  • Ensure plant and work areas managed by Dalkia UK are always clean and tidy, and a safe environment is maintained.
  • Perform any other duties as required/requested by the Supervisor/Contract Manager.
Working Hours and Benefits
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, 40 hours per week.
  • Additional earnings available through overtime - if wanted.

Requirements
  • Appropriate Level 3 City and Guilds qualification or ONC/NVQ 3 in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering.
