Job Description

Job Title: Head of Education

Job Summary:

Simpson Millar Solicitors is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Department Head to lead our Public Law practice area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our department, driving business growth and development, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of Solicitors, Legal Executives, and support staff
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and development
  • Manage and deliver performance-based on KPIs and commercial goals
  • Ensure ongoing development of team members and manage performance to achieve revenue targets
  • Lead and manage a team of fee earners and support staff in a robust, professional, and competent way

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Judicial Review and leadership roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Experience in managing and developing teams
