Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Associate Director Geo-Environmental to join our team at Bennett & Game Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for leading the Geo-Environmental team and driving the vision for the department.

About the Role:

  • Lead the Geo-Environmental team: You will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Project Management: You will oversee the tender process, produce precise contract documentation, and manage projects of all sizes, ensuring timescales and budgets are met.
  • Business Development: You will be responsible for attracting and developing business opportunities, working closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: You will be responsible for designing and implementing internal QMS procedures, ensuring all designs comply with British Standards, Eurocodes, CIRIA, BRE, NHBC, and other relevant standards.
  • Site Investigations: You will lead the site investigation process from concept to completion, working closely with clients and other professionals to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mentoring and Training: You will be responsible for mentoring less experienced members of the team, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.

About You:

  • Qualifications: You will have a degree in a relevant engineering subject and be a Chartered geologist, Engineer, or Scientist.
  • Experience: You will have a minimum of 10 years' experience working in a similar engineering consultancy, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Skills: You will be proficient in the use of software such as technical design packages, including SlopeW (or similar), Holebase, and other relevant tools.
  • Leadership: You will have the ability to lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Commercial Awareness: You will be commercially aware, with the ability to attract and develop business opportunities.
