About the Role

Psixty Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortgage and Protection Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our residential mortgage team, you will be responsible for taking new enquiries from various sources, identifying requirements, and placing them with the correct lender.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Enquiries
    • Ensure all details are fully completed on our CRM system immediately upon receiving a new enquiry.
    • Carry out a thorough fact find with direct customers where the loan is for a regulated mortgage contract, and provide expert advice if qualified.
    • Complete sourcing for all new enquiries.
    • Follow up with a call to the broker or client to ensure their needs are met.
    • Review and send out the necessary compliance documentation to the client or broker, including a recommendation call for regulated loans.
  • Introducer Due Diligence
    • Advise new brokers on compliance requirements and assist them in requesting necessary documents.
  • Documentation
    • Review and verify the accuracy of AIPs and Offers received from lenders.
    • Review and verify the completeness of documents and application packs.
    • Submit valuations to lenders and ensure timely completion.
  • Updates
    • Verify the accuracy of case and completion updates before sending them to clients or brokers.
    • Manage updates from all parties and inform those who require them.
Requirements
  • Clear Communication
    • Develop a clear, eloquent, and upbeat telephone manner to effectively communicate with clients and brokers.
  • Regulatory Knowledge
    • Understand the source of introductions and when to pass regulated clients to appropriate staff members.
    • Understand which regulations apply to which types of applications and ensure the advising broker has the necessary permissions.
  • Product Knowledge
    • Develop a strong understanding of lender and product knowledge to provide expert advice.
  • Administrative Skills
    • Manage your own diary, meet deadlines, and achieve targets set by the company.
  • Qualifications
    • Hold a full UK driving license.
    • Hold GCSE Maths and English qualifications.
    • Hold CeMAP certification for handling regulated mortgage contracts (although not essential for unregulated products with 2 years minimum industry experience).
