About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Development Support Analyst to join our expanding Development Support team based in Newcastle. As a key member of our MGS IT Development Team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining software and systems across M Group.

About the Team

You will be part of a well-established team of developers who are responsible for designing and developing business systems software across MGS. In this role, you will provide 2nd and 3rd line support working closely with the service desk, developers, and other support teams, and assisting with delivering solutions that align to the business and systems requirements.

About the Job

As a Development Support Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing 2nd and 3rd line technical support on issues raised via the technical helpdesk, engaging with both internal and external customers.
  • Monitoring M Group applications to ensure daily processing is successful.
  • Maintaining the current M Group application suite using C#.NET, Oracle, Linux, and Unix.
  • Investigating problems and providing solutions, often collaborating with the wider Development DBA and Solution Architecture teams.

  • Demonstrate good knowledge of C#.NET and SQL (preferably Oracle).
  • Be a professional, motivated, and driven individual with a strong sense of pride in their work.
  • Have a good attention to detail and be able to work to deadlines.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus skills, and be able to articulate solutions appropriate to the audience.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills and provide solutions.
  • Experience supporting multiple applications.
  • A willingness to learn new and develop already existing technology and skills.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement process in regard to the team, self, processes, and systems.
