Position Summary: We are currently looking for a Field Commissioning Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing the functional testing, process commissioning, and reliability assessment of installed systems across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Develop comprehensive testing and commissioning strategies.
  • Organize and participate in technical discussions with stakeholders, including clients and contractors.
  • Conduct inspections to verify that systems are installed and tested according to relevant British, ISO, and client standards.
  • Perform function testing and commissioning of electrical systems, SCADA, instrumentation, and automation systems, ensuring adherence to specifications and best practices.
  • Facilitate the analysis of both raw and treated samples.
  • Compile detailed commissioning reports, method statements, and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards and legislation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting any functional or performance issues.
  • Maintain regular communication with project managers, engineers, client teams, and suppliers to ensure smooth commissioning and handover processes.
  • Support the development and review of Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
  • Provide training to site operators on the use of installed systems and equipment.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess a degree, HND, HNC, or equivalent in engineering, science, or a related field.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in a similar role within the utilities or M&E engineering sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial and commercial electrical and ICA design, assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning, preferably in the water sector.
  • Experience with Low Voltage (LV) and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, including conditioning, conversion, and interpretation, as well as digital I/O, relay control logic, and instrumentation.
  • Electrical qualifications should include at least the 18th Edition and C&G 2391 Inspection & Test; a current JIB Gold Card is preferred.
  • Experience in the UK water industry is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally, including potential overnight stays.
  • A valid driving license is required, with any endorsements disclosed in the application.
