Children's Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Permanence Team in Oldham Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and families.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with a co-located multi-agency team to provide effective communication and service delivery.
- Responding to contacts made to the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) promptly and identifying appropriate services to support and safeguard children and families.
- Communicating with families, partner agencies, and the public to gather detailed information and ensure strong, evidence-based decision-making.
- Understanding statutory social worker functions and making informed threshold decisions confidently.
We offer a competitive salary of up to £40,221 annually, with a £2,000 retention payment. Additionally, we provide a range of benefits, including:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with Social Work England
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
- Proven experience in Children's Social Work
