The successful candidate will report into the General Counsel & Compliance Officer and be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Volkswagen Group UK compliance management system.
The Compliance Counsel will provide timely and commercially relevant legal advice on compliance requirements and activities in the UK, escalating and reporting any compliance issues to the General Counsel and board of management. As part of a proactive Legal & Compliance function, the Compliance Counsel will play a key role in influencing compliance policies within our global Group landscape and collaborate with international colleagues to deliver best practice.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Volkswagen Group UK compliance management system.
- Provide timely and commercially relevant legal advice on compliance requirements and activities in the UK.
- Escalate and report any compliance issues to the General Counsel and board of management.
- Contribute to the development of compliance policies and procedures within our global Group landscape.
- Collaborate with international colleagues to deliver best practice in compliance.
- Significant experience of establishing and maintaining compliance programmes.
- Comprehensive skills in developing effective policies, procedures, training, and guidelines.
- Self-reliant and motivated with the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
