About the Role

Premier Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in a permanent capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical products, working closely with manufacturing providers, and contributing to the final assembly of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical products using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, and Creo
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure timely and cost-effective production
  • Contribute to the final assembly of products and ensure quality control
  • Create technical documentation, project reports, and plans
  • Update 3D models and drawings as required
  • Input parts into the MRP system and create BOMs
  • Check drawings for sign off and ensure accuracy
Requirements
  • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position is desirable
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software and MS Office
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
