Occupational Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at NHS Professionals.

The successful candidate will have experience working as an Occupational Therapist and be able to demonstrate initiative and prioritise a complex workload whilst working both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To assess and identify the individual needs of patients, to clinically diagnose and implement treatment plans if appropriate in a manner that respects people's privacy, dignity, and individuality.
  • To formulate and deliver an individualised physiotherapy treatment programme, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic handling, patient education, provision of exercise (individual/group), and other alternative options.
  • To record and report findings appropriately following the standard procedures used by the department to maintain high levels of written/verbal communication.
  • To assist Clinical Therapy Manager/Team Leader in service development and the provision of a quality service.
  • To take responsibility for junior members of staff and delegate duties as necessary, always providing appropriate level of support.
  • To be responsible for maintaining own competency and self-development.
