Job Title: IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our hybrid infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement infrastructure improvement projects
  • Provide regular feedback on progress using IT Helpdesk and project management tools
  • Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure and Security Manager to identify areas for improvement
  • Regularly test and deploy system patches to ensure compliance with company policies
  • Perform server upgrades and network changes to meet security and compliance standards
  • Support all aspects of IT technology, from end-user computing to backend IT architectures
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the team, line manager, and internal customers
  • Ensure company systems are maintained, checked, and reported upon, highlighting areas for improvement
  • Document all work performed and ensure smooth handover to the 1st line team

Requirements:

  • Competent IT user with experience in using Microsoft office tools
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Windows Server technologies and Linux systems
  • Understanding and support of network equipment, including routing and switching at both hardware and configuration levels
  • Ability to pick up new technologies and participate in planning software and hardware upgrades
  • Enthusiasm to keep IT knowledge up to date through research and reading technical literature
  • Ability to work unaided on IT projects and manage workload by prioritizing tasks

Hybrid Infrastructure:

We are looking for someone with experience in hybrid infrastructure, including small-scale storage area networking and SAN architectures, Linux servers, and Windows Server technologies.

Microsoft Endpoint Technologies:

Experience with Microsoft endpoint technologies, including InTune, Office 365, Exchange Online, MFA, and SharePoint Online, is highly desirable.

SQL Server:

Familiarity with SQL Server is also required.
