Job Title: Science Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Science Graduate to join our client school's team as a Teaching Assistant in a laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of Materials: Prepare and set up laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical lessons across various scientific disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure it is safe for use, conducting routine inspections and repairs as necessary.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to within the laboratory environment, conducting risk assessments for experiments and maintaining an organized inventory of hazardous substances.
  • Support Teaching Staff: Assist teachers during practical lessons by demonstrating techniques or providing additional support to students as needed.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
  • A relevant qualification in a science subject.
  • Previous experience working in a school laboratory setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
