Job Title: Head Groundsperson

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Groundsperson to join our team at Beckenham Crematorium. As a key member of our Grounds Management Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the crematorium grounds are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the crematorium grounds, including lawns, gardens, and pathways
  • Ensure the grounds are kept clean and tidy, including the removal of litter and debris
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as pruning, weeding, and watering
  • Work collaboratively with the Grounds Management Team to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Provide excellent customer service to families and visitors
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in grounds maintenance or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and bending
  • Availability to work a 40-hour week, including weekends and bank holidays
