Position Overview:


We are looking for a skilled and proactive Site Operations Manager to supervise the installation and upkeep of storage systems across various client sites.

The Site Operations Manager will be tasked with liaising with clients, directing a team of installers, and ensuring that projects are executed punctually, within financial constraints, and in accordance with established timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all contractors adhere to the project timeline.
• Provide daily updates to Contracts Managers and Clients regarding project status.
• Oversee quality control of contractor work.
• Conduct toolbox talks with trades under our management.
• Manage health and safety protocols on site.
• Collaborate closely with the Contracts Manager on delivery schedules.
• Oversee maintenance of equipment.
• Monitor contractor punctuality.
• Maintain established profit margins.
• Facilitate small deliveries to keep projects on track.
• Document project progress through photographs for future reference.
• Manage waste on site to prevent hazards.
• Ensure Load Notices are affixed to all storage systems.
• Record reports and survey findings.
• Follow up on meetings with written communication.
• Update the Estimating Team via email to ensure all client specifications are met.
• Work according to building plans, mezzanine floor designs, and racking layouts.
• Conduct pre-installation site assessments to confirm approved designs fit within the premises.
• Communicate with subcontractors on site to clarify final detail requirements.
• Adhere to methods of work, scheduling, and health and safety considerations.
• Identify potential hazards that may affect the installation or design teams.
• Ensure each construction phase is validated as per pre-project planning.
• Assist in compiling all Operation and Maintenance documentation.
• Ensure equipment is returned when not in use.
• Maintain cleanliness and professionalism in working areas.
• Account for all company-owned equipment.
• Methodically address any outstanding issues with tradesmen for prompt resolution.
• Report accurate on-site modifications to the Operations Director via email and project management tools.
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and the Operations Director.
• Represent the company with the utmost professionalism.
• Navigate projects with a focus on methods and principles.
• Provide daily updates to the Operations Director.
• Address contractor challenges on site with professionalism.
• Build collaborative relationships with Principal Contractors.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Knowledge of pallet racking, shelving, and mezzanine systems.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to retain and apply information effectively.
• Understanding of design concepts and their implementation on site.
• Familiarity with Building Control Regulations.
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of all projects under supervision.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Take ownership and pride in all tasks undertaken.
• Maintain composure and logic under pressure.
• Possess a proactive mindset with a positive attitude.
• Exhibit diligence, integrity, and honesty.
• Must hold an IPAF and CSCS card.
• Ideally, possess SSSTS, SMSTS, and forklift certification (desirable).
• Familiarity with Construction Design Management principles (desirable).
• Previous hands-on experience in the field (desirable).

Additional Information:

• Site Managers typically cover extensive travel, averaging 40,000 miles annually.
• Expected to arrive on site daily between 7:00 am and 8:30 am.
• Overnight stays may be required occasionally.
