The Project Manager serves as the primary contact for all client project interactions, effectively managing safety, commercial, and reputational risks while collaborating productively with both internal and external stakeholders to optimize project resources, ensure technical integrity, operational efficiency, quality assurance, and achieve successful project completions.

This role encompasses full accountability for profit and loss, safety, quality, and performance metrics associated with the project. The individual will be tasked with the implementation and execution of all principles and actions related to project management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established Company QHS&E Management Systems and maintain awareness of health and safety responsibilities for oneself and others.
  • Act as the primary liaison for all client project interactions throughout the contract duration, fostering regular communication and positive relationships with clients.
  • Engage in the tendering and proposal processes to leverage a comprehensive knowledge base for assessing and fulfilling customer needs and market limitations.
  • Support the final stages of contract negotiations for familiarization, evaluating resource needs, and coordinating internal allocation or external procurement.
  • Champion all aspects of service quality and technical project delivery, ensuring that projects are effectively managed throughout all execution phases, budgets are adhered to, resources are optimally scheduled and utilized, and client expectations are met.
  • Prepare all project deliverables, including project-related documents (schedules, procedures, plans, etc.) and financial documents (revenue/expenditure profiles and cash flows).
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate, statutory, and local health, safety, and environmental policies and processes, as well as any client-specific requirements.
  • Provide visible and proactive health, safety, and environmental leadership, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, risk assessment, and safe work methods.
  • Monitor project performance closely, establishing effective controls for review and reporting, identifying and managing risks, and ensuring operational performance aligns with agreed timelines while taking corrective actions as necessary to comply with budgetary, contractual, and scheduling requirements.
  • Oversee all financial aspects of the project, including the establishment of systems for regular cost reviews, invoicing, and cash collection, while driving prompt sales invoicing and stringent debt collection to achieve cash flow objectives.
  • Be knowledgeable about and responsible for the contractual elements of service management and execution, ensuring client expectations are met and services/equipment are delivered in compliance with contract obligations within agreed timelines, addressing any issues or omissions promptly.
  • Manage a multi-functional project team, ensuring that project requirements and timelines are fully understood and met by all supporting functions, including resource planning, equipment preparation and mobilization, applications engineering, in-field operations, data analysis, customer reporting, purchasing, and project accounting.
  • Identify business opportunities with existing and potential clients and develop these opportunities in collaboration with the Commercial department.
  • Communicate and report on project status, events, issues, and developments to senior management and/or clients as required, on a regular and timely basis.
  • Effectively and proactively collaborate with relevant departments to ensure timely and effective support for each project.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of technical and business processes.
  • Support the Project Management team by coordinating resources to align with departmental and organizational priorities.

Requirements:

  • Proven advanced negotiation, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage with customers, suppliers, and colleagues in a complex environment.
  • Strong understanding of internal and external economic factors, including costs, margins, and the profit impact of decisions affecting company results, demonstrating robust business acumen.
  • Effective report writing, presentation skills, strong organizational capabilities, and project planning proficiency are essential.
  • Experience in Project Management within the subsea industry is required.
  • AMP or a similar qualification is preferred.
