Our client, a global leader in delivering offshore projects and services, is seeking a skilled Buyer to join their team in Aberdeen on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This role is an exciting opportunity to work within their Offshore Division, where marine/vessel SCM experience is essential.
As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting global operations by managing procurement and supply chain functions, ensuring the timely delivery of goods, services, and equipment for projects worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage procurement for assigned vessels, assets, or operational facilities
- Develop and implement expediting and logistics plans to ensure timely deliveries
- Follow established supply chain processes, utilizing systems to track performance metrics
- Assist in vendor selection, management, and performance assessment
- Procurement experience coming from an energy sector background
- Experience in marine or vessel supply chain management, with familiarity in procurement processes and RFQ/tendering
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft 365. Experience with SAP or SAP Ariba is desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively at all levels
