We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Civil Engineer to join our team at Strata Construction Consulting. As a key member of our infrastructure engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership on a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Production of technical reports, including flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and highway infrastructure design.
- Collaboration with project managers to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
- Development of technical highway and drainage designs to support S104, S38, and S278 applications.
- Undertaking technical assessments for new developments and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior staff and ensuring the quality of technical outputs.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject.
- Knowledge and application of drainage design from first principles and experience in the use of Microdrainage and/or Causeway flow software.
- Experience in writing flood risk assessments or drainage strategies for development projects.
- Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to others.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in UK development-related infrastructure engineering.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD and Civils 3D.
- A full UK driving license, as the role may require site visits.
