Job Title: Civil Engineer Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer Manager to join our team at Strata Construction Consulting. As a key member of our infrastructure engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the development of flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and highway infrastructure designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of technical reports, including flood risk assessments, technical notes, and drainage strategy reports.
  • Collaboration with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects and high-quality outputs.
  • Development of technical highway and drainage designs to support S104, S38, and S278 applications.
  • Undertaking technical assessments for new developments and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior staff and ensuring the quality of their outputs.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, innovations, and best practices in infrastructure engineering and construction.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject.
  • Knowledge and application of drainage design from first principles and experience in the use of Microdrainage and/or Causeway flow software.
  • Experience in writing flood risk assessments or drainage strategies for development projects.
  • Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to others.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in UK development-related infrastructure engineering.
  • Demonstrate suitable knowledge of relevant design standards, including DMRB, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, and local road standards.
