About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Enterprise Development Manager to join our dynamic Careers, Employability, and Student Enterprise (CESE) division at the University of Southampton.
This is a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Student Enterprise and Events in designing and overseeing the University's Student Enterprise programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Student Enterprise Junction, a co-working space for students, ensuring a valuable experience for clients and stakeholders, and managing the Student Enterprise Coordinators.
The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge in setting up a business, working within or supporting a startup ecosystem and/or delivering a programme of support to students in enterprise and entrepreneurship, ideally within a Higher Education setting. They will be able to provide evidence of sector knowledge and demonstrate successful outcomes.
About You
You will be a confident and credible professional with excellent organisational skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others. With a background in business development and/or entrepreneurship, you will excel at driving our programme forward.
You will be responsible for providing one-to-one advice sessions, creating and delivering skills development workshops, and overseeing the daily operations of the Student Enterprise Junction. You will also manage a team of coordinators to ensure a high-quality student experience.
