Job Title: Cardiac Physiologist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Physiologist Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our cardiac department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and analyze cardiac diagnostic tests, including echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with cardiac conditions, including pacemaker implantation and follow-up.
  • Provide technical and clinical advice to peers, juniors, and students, while demonstrating an awareness of when issues should be escalated.
  • Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, PTP and STP students, encouraging high standards of performance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality of care, clinical physiologist standards, and efficiency improvements.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent.
  • Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Cardiology or related field.
  • High level of knowledge of cardiac pathologies, arrhythmias, acute coronary syndromes, and causes of syncope.
  • Competent in CRM (pacemakers, ICD, and CRT) device follow-up and implantation.
