We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our Impulse team in Central London. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the range strategy to maximise the budgeted financial business targets.
Key Responsibilities- Maximise the delivery of the Sales / Margin & Stock turn of your category range to deliver a market beating product and seasonal proposition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Sources suppliers and negotiates best cost prices to improve margins.
- Ensure selected product lines achieve availability timeframes.
- Presents product range and trend information to the Senior Management team.
- Monitors and reviews competitor information to ensure your product area stays relevant in a changing market.
- Manages your category budget.
- Analyses sales figures to plan successful future lines.
- Proven previous experience as a Buyer within a retail environment is essential (preferably a food category / would consider FMCG background).
- Ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
- Able to adapt swiftly in a fast-paced, ever-changing seasonal retail market.
- Excellent numerical ability, with an analytical mindset.
- Strong IT skills including MS Office.
