Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Universal Business Team. As an Ambassador for the Company, you will build a network of connections through networking, social media, and referrals. You will build strong relationships with customers and be their contact for any feedback and/or queries.

This role is focused on selling goods into the FMCG/Food manufacturing industry. You will be highly organized and love speaking to new and existing customers. You will be comfortable getting on the phone and visiting new/existing customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop entry-level staff into valuable salespeople
  • Manage the pipeline and opportunities
  • Deliver your own GP growth
  • Loading visit notes on CRM
  • Preparing notes for upcoming visits
  • Completing quotes
  • Follow up actions from previous meetings
Requirements
  • Must have had some formal sales training
  • Must have at least 2 years experience in new business development
  • Good geographical understanding to plan travel
  • Sold a similar product type such as ink, coatings, packaging, etc.
  • Must be comfortable in a 360° role where you are booking meetings
What We Offer
  • Salary: £40,000-£50,000 basic
