Job Summary

The Premier League Kicks Project Officer will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and delivering Millwall Football Club's Premier League Kicks Project and its linked match-funded elements. This role will primarily focus on the boroughs of Southwark and Lewisham.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high-quality experience to all participants across the Premier League Kicks delivery timetable while achieving targets set by funders.
  • Develop and implement social inclusion activities and other related initiatives, such as youth clubs, workshops, competitions, and player visits, across various venues.
  • Liaise with Millwall Football Club's sessional coaches and assign them to Premier League Kicks sessions, while supervising staff to ensure a high-quality delivery across all sessions.
  • Directly deliver sports-based sessions across Millwall Football Club's community-based programs, including hub and satellite sessions in and around the boroughs of Southwark and Lewisham.
  • Log participant engagement from community sessions onto Millwall Football Club's monitoring and evaluation systems, while completing other administrative duties as required.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders and partners, increasing Millwall Football Club's Premier League Kicks footprint in the local area.
  • Promote Premier League Kicks to schools, local community groups, and other relevant parties to maximize attendance on each session.
  • Quality assure the provision of services delivered through effective monitoring of sessions.
  • Provide quarterly reports to senior staff, funders, and steering groups on progress made against targets set in the community development plan.
Requirements
  • UEFA C License / FA Level 2 in Coaching Football.
  • Level 2 in youth work principles.
  • Safeguarding Children & First Aid certificates.
  • Proven track record of working with young people in sporting and classroom-based settings.
  • Previous experience in project coordination.
  • Experience in managing or supervising staff/volunteers.
  • Experience in working, developing, and managing relevant partnerships in the social inclusion/youth work sector.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management systems.
Desired Requirements
  • Other Sporting National Governing Body qualifications.
  • Level 2 in effective mentoring.
  • Project Management.
  • Track record of delivering positive activities to young people.
  • Understanding of the dynamics of the boroughs of Southwark & Lewisham.
