Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for overseeing resource planning, participating in accounting-related projects, and ensuring the timely and accurate production of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management
    • Support the Senior Manager and Head of Jurisdiction in delivering a first-class professional service to clients, both internal and external.
    • Deputize for the Senior Manager in their absence when relevant.
    • Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports.
    • Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT returns.
    • Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly CIS returns.
    • Monitor the quality and service levels of the team, ensuring compliance with ISAE 3402 requirements.
    • Ensure financial statements prepared are in line with UK GAAP/IFRS or other appropriate standards.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations.
    • Monitor all jobs of the client to ensure timely and efficient completion.
  • People Management
    • Plan and organize your client portfolio and team time planning.
    • Oversight of appraisals for all team members and conduct appraisals for members of the team.
    • Review current workload and resources.
    • Supervise team members in relation to client activities and Crestbridge procedures.
    • Supervise team members in relation to time management and prioritization skills.
  • Time Management
    • Plan and prioritize your own and team workflow.
    • Deal with matters in a timely manner.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Understand and comply with relevant organizational policies and procedures, supporting the Senior Manager to manage risks around the accounting function.
    • Understand what is appropriate and acceptable in relation to AML.

Requirements

This role is ideal for someone looking for their first role out of chartered accountancy. People already within commerce and industry with a strong financial and management accounting background will also be considered.
