Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers and testers, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to ensure best practices in software development.
  • Work closely with business managers, product managers, engineering, and operations to scope and plan programs and projects, ensuring they meet budget, business case, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure the successful execution of the MA's software development strategy, focusing on quality, scalability, and maintainability of code and software architecture.
  • Organize projects using a structured product development framework, with appropriate project phases and milestones.
  • Collaborate with the product team to manage resources required to achieve product roadmaps, considering recruitment, training, and tool acquisition.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related subject or equivalent technical or business-related subject.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully adopting an agile approach to project development or product improvement.
  • Demonstrable leadership, commercial awareness, and strong business acumen.
  • Proficient in using technical task management and planning tools, e.g., JIRA, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
