We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our team in a large Engineering Department. As a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance on a range of production machinery, as well as completing project work.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform planned preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Deal with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs
- Assist with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts
- Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications
- Experience in a similar environment; Industrial, Production, or Manufacturing environments
- Maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns
- Any experience of SOME of the following; Belts, Chains, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding, and Fabricating
- Motivated and driven to succeed
- Willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and company
- A competitive salary of £53,000 - £55,000 per annum (plus overtime paid at x1.5 & 2.0 and benefits)
- A continental shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, 6am till 6pm
- Opportunities to learn new skills, receive further training, and develop your career in this factory and company
We are a dynamic and driven maintenance team, looking after a range of production machinery via planned and reactive maintenance, as well as completing project work. It is a varied and interesting role, no two days are the same, always juggling and prioritising workloads.
