Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team to provide outstanding care and education for all children
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead when necessary, overseeing daily nursery operations and safeguarding policies
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to cater to each child's needs

  • Promote the nursery to current and prospective parents to enhance retention and occupancy

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Prior experience in an Early Years setting, preferably in a leadership role
  • Proven decision-making abilities, with experience in supporting and guiding team members
  • Strong understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and relevant legislative requirements
  • Ability to build trust and foster strong relationships with colleagues and parents
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with both children and adults
