Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the design and production of protective foam products, with a strong understanding of CAD/CAM software. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D layouts for foam cutting, as well as contributing to 3D and complex product design when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop 2D CAD drawings for the layout and cutting of protective foam products and tool control foam inlays.
  • Design and develop specialist solutions and custom projects as required by clients to further extend the solutions we offer.
  • Collaborate with clients and our internal team to ensure designs are accurate and agreed upon before programming for manufacture.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software to create detailed and precise designs that meet client specifications.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software to program CNC routers to achieve best quality and efficient production finishes.
  • Apply creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions for complex design challenges.
  • Assist in the development of 3D designs and complex product configurations as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in CAD/CAM technologies.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to quality standards and meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in the design and production of protective foam products.
  • A strong understanding of CAD/CAM software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
